Winter Field Day is an annual event for amateur radio operators, taking place on the last full weekend of January, where participants set up field operations to practice emergency communications in winter conditions.

Halton Amateur Radio Club endured -15C (-25C with windchill) temperature to participate in 2026 winter field day.

Operating on the 20Metre band, we were able to make lots of contacts across North America.

Many thanks to all members who came out to participate in these cold conditions, making this a fun and successful event!
